Happy Thanksgiving!

This has been a wonderful thanksgiving for our family. The only thing that could of made it better is if the members of our family that are living in other states could have joined us. But as the family grows and spreads out over this great country of ours, I guess it's to be expected.

The morning started out with getting out of bed around 5am. Had morning coffee with Wilma before loading up the car with all the supplies for our dinner.

Arrived at the Lodge around 7am and by 8am the turkey was in the oven. Wilma arrived around 9:00am and between the two of us we had the Lodge set up the way we wanted for our Thanksgiving Family Dinner. Bless her heart, with all the work she did preparing for this dinner. Without her I don't think it could of happened. Thanks my hon! Great job and I love ya!

Wilma's centerpiece she made for this occasion.

Dinner was served at 1pm. What a great dinner it was. Everyone kept telling Wilma and I how good the Turkey and stuffing was. Wilma also prepared mashed potatoes, corn, dinner rolls, deviled eggs, and her sugar free cherry pie for desert. Everyone else bought a dish and there was more available than was eaten.

This was the second year in a row that I was able to have use of the Lodge. And it works out just so perfectly. We had around 24 mouths to feed for our dinner. There was plenty of room in the commercial kitchen for all who had to cook. The kids had more than enough room in the adjoining rooms to play tag and burn off the extra energy that they always seem to have. And the guys were able to watch the Detroit Lions loose yet another game on the 60 inch. Sony TV.

In fact the family started asking where we could all gather for Xmas. After a lengthy discussion and suggestions it was agreed that if the Lodge was available the Sunday following Christmas we would all meet there. So this Wednesday evening I will once again approach the membership asking for the use of the Lodge. Hopefully I will be granted my request.

It's now 6pm and Wilma and I are pretty tired out.

Another wonderful Adventure we had today, and Wilma and I hope that you also had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

Until next time, be safe and God Bless.
