Celebrating Christmas

December 23, 2008
Eddy & Beth arrived around 7pm. Pretty tired from the ride, especially when crossing into Michigan. Eddy said that I-75 was completely snow covered. It took almost an hour to travel 25 miles at one point. We all were in bed for the night by 9pm., knowing we will have a busy 2 days ahead of us.

It has been our tradition that on Christmas Eve, Wilma's side of the family gets together for a dinner and to exchange gifts. This year it was Connie's turn to host the get together, however she asked if we could have the gathering at our home. She prepared ALL the food and brought it with them. Wow did she fix a spread of delicious food! Well done Connie!
Dinner was served at Noon, and afterward we exchanged gifts. Everyone had a great time, and it was nice to get "caught up" on what has all been happening in everyone's life.

Eddy figured out why we had so much snow!
Wilma has a winter sign hanging on our gate that says "Let It Snow".

It's our tradition to have our daughters and grandkids over for a breakfast before opening gifts.

The day started with a great breakfast prepared by Fred & Eddy.

Angel and Brook arrived first around
9am, hungry and excited for the presents. Angel had a cold so she felt a little under the weather.
Tina and her family arrived at 10am, hungry, ready to eat and open their presents. Eddy prepared the Biscuits and Gravy. I did the eggs and bacon. Mmmmm Goooood!!!!

After breakfast everyone went to the living room to see what Santa brought.

The Kids and Grand Kids had a great time opening their presents. Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the wonderful gifts they received. "Santa" did real good this year!

By 5pm everyone was gone. Eddy & Beth left to stay with Connie for a few days.

Wilma got in her relaxed mode and.......

took a little snooze with Kybee.

From our family to yours, we wish you Happy Holidays and a prosperous, healthy New Year!

Until our next Adventure....
be safe and God Bless.
